It's a home gym in a bag!

After moving house and storing 30k of weights & gym equipment I needed a temporary solution to keep me in the game for a year. I've been using the PTP for 2 months now and manage to do almost everything I did with free weights and machines. The amount of resistance is actually really decent and the quality of the kit is well worth the price. I use the bands without a tether and for some exercises I use the wrap around a post and occasionally I use it inside on a door. It works fine even in a tight hallway. I'll keep it even after I move back into my gym so I can take it on a run and use it at parks. I purchased a second set of handles so I could do supersets but that's it. The only gripe is some exercises when using heavy or multiple bands for high resistance tend to rub on the outside of your wrist and arm. It doesn't stress me too much but you could wear an arm band or wrist wrap if needed. Overall I am very impressed and have recommended to friends and colleagues who have also purchased.

I was seeking a substitute to a home gym that would meet my needs and challenge me. The PTP Total Resistance System met all of these requirements. The guidlines are easy to follow and the equipment easy to use. The bands are deceptive and far more challenging than the 'weight' value would indicate so it will take me some time to use all of the bands. All components are well made and I have no doubt that they will last quite a while. I would recommend this product to those seeking an alternative to a home gym or gym membership.

Fantastic set. Well worth it

So many ways to work specific parts of your body and with all the different strength cables you can start out on the lighter ones to concentrate on form and then move your way up. The instruction book is great and gives you loads of exercises to try. My wife and I are now using this set and we really love it. We just do a very short workout each day. I am now buying extra ankle straps and another anchor so we can work out at the same time. We just use my son’s monkey bars with the outside anchor and it works great. The inside door anchor is also good. It feels a little strange at first doing the exercises but just go with it and concentrate on form first. In no time you will be working your way up to stronger cables. If you are on the fence about something like this, I say just go for it and do little bits often. That has worked for me.

I have used this multiple times now and have found it to be an essential addition to any serious amateur athlete's workout regime. It is simple to set up and easy to use, one of its greatest features is its overall versatility, you are not restricted to a single resistance in one band it has been designed so you can utilise multiple bands as your resistance grows, giving an increased range of resistance.

Really versatile

For the price you probably can’t get the the amount of versatility this kit provides. The fact you can add the bands together to get extra resistance is excellent, and I’ve found that it’s definitely assisted with toning up the parts that I wanted to tone up after about four weeks of use. The only downside I guess I’ve found is that due to them being bands, there is some exercises you just can’t do due to the angles. It this can be rectified by manipulating the door jam anchor where you need it and just keeping tension on it. For those that don’t have a lot of room in an apartment or small house, this is excellent if paired with some other home gym equipment. It has literally saved me taking out a gym membership and allows me to get a quick workout in at home which if you’re time poor but enjoy getting a pump on, this is a great option. Lots of exercise options. Can even take the kit down to the park or even workplace if you wanted to go elsewhere for a workout. I will probably also purchase the platform system to be able to include squats and deadlifts in my routine, and that’s based on the high quality of this product. I throw in a PTP weighted skipping rope in the bag as well and I even have the ability to do some cardio. One point though - don’t leave the bands hanging up in the sun or exposed to heat, they will go sticky and possibly perish so ensure you put them away in the bag afterwards.
