Rehearsals are organised by FIFA, led by the FIFA Match Director with the support of the Marketing Venue Managers. FIFA will brief the participants on timings, walkways and general behaviour. In addition, there will be 4 volunteers who will assist the Marketing Venue Managers with all the Ball Kid related tasks.
More information will be provided to those who are selected.
Briefing and rehearsals will take place 4.5h before kick-off (Ball crew will start 3.5h).
Rehearsals will last approximately 1.5h.
Rehearsals will be conducted in English.
Once the rehearsal is conducted the kids will return to the Ball Kids room.
Lunch and entertainment should take place after the rehearsal.
Uniforms will be supplied by Adidas on the first match day
A drop off location near the stadium will be designated and all ball kids will need to be at the off-site meeting point 5 hours before kick-off due to the different security checks, such as the vehicle screening, ticket and accreditation validation.
Ball Kids will in most cases be allocated 3 matches throughout the tournament
Our aim is to provide a 6 day break between match days
Ball kids will be required to act as a Stand By for at least one other match
Ball Kids are expected to be available for all 3 matches for the duration of the tournament
Winners will be selected based on their response to the question… tell us in 100 words or less why you should be chosen as a World Cup Ball Kid. Outline your football experience and what the Women’s World Cup means to you.
