If you ask any kid, the best thing about Christmas is the gifts. Hands down. Parents, on the other hand, will tell you it’s spending time with the kids. So, when you give a sporting gift, as a Christmas gift, the family can enjoy together, everybody wins.
Backyard games
From classic catches to goofy dad moments Backyard Cricket is the smash hit of the summer (pun intended). Beyond that, we have a range of backyard games including theVerao Giant Bag Toss and Verao Backyard Kubb for big time fun. Let’s face it, the kids aren’t getting any younger, so why not enjoy the backyard family moments while you can.
Life’s a Beach
There’s nothing more Australian than a day at the beach. Slap on a Nike Apex Bucket Hat, some sunscreen, a rashie and let the good times roll. You can get your little ones kitted out with swim accessories, inflatables and... anything else that floats your boat (see what we did there). For the slightly bigger kids, you can never go wrong with a newSurfboard or Bodyboard or beach and pool games, Lawn is Lava or Twister With A Splash. And for the Sherpas… I mean parents try a beach cart to transport everything and you’ll still have a free hand to hold on to your little ones.
Scooters and Skateboards
There’s are a few key moments for parents where you need to be there to help your children reach a milestone, and helping your kids learn to scooter or skate for the very first time is right up there. So make sure you get a scooter or skateboard that’s made to last. scooter ride or even a skate can become one of your family rituals. Dads beware. If you’re thinking of skateboarding again, you’re not 16. Take it easy and make sure you wear the safety gear!
Just remember, the Christmas break only lasts a few weeks, but the memories that you create with your kids will last a whole lifetime. Sport is a gift!
