This item is too low in quality for umpiring. Sound not strong enough. Get the higher version of the thunderer from a specialist shop. Rebel range too limited.

Best plastic whistle for me.

I have used Acme Thunderer 477/660 Finger Grip Whistles for many decades. I changed to them when I found that metal whistles to umpire netball gave me mouth ulcers and busted lips. Rubber mouthpiece covers were too big and tasted awful. This black plastic whistle is not too tiny and not too large, has a sharp consistent sound and comfortable finger grip.

this whistle is junk

This whistle is Junk, it broke the finger grips broke in half the first time used at umpiring practice.
