Brooks Ghost 16 Womens Running Shoes

Ghost shoes are very comfortable for walking. These shoes keep my knees from hurting when I walk.

I have bought Ghosts now for many years and have never had problems. However, I don’t know what Brooks has changed but this new one is horrible. The third time running in them, my feet hurt so bad I can’t stand barefoot. I ended up buying the Glycerins and my are just getting worse. If you buy a Ghost, get an older pair.

Great shoe, love the color and the support. Very comfortable. I felt the back of the shoe is a little too low. It doesn't feel like its going to slip off or anything, just seems lower than my old pair of brooks that I am used to.

UGH! I've been wearing Brooks Ghosts since 9, and this, the 16, is the first pair that I'm grossly disappointed in--from a comfort and aesthetics perspective. On comparing these to my Ghost 15s, there is a marked decline in quality and materials. I bought the black pair with white sole, and all of the photos on the product page show these sneakers with black laces. You can see in the photo that the ones I got are eggplant colored and look like a mistake. Further, the materials themselves look and feel much cheaper. Quality has been going down for a while now, but this takes the cake. As for fit, I wear a 10W, and the toe box on these is not high enough. The width is okayish, but my big toe is now hitting the top of the toe box. Further, I'm now having some pain under my left big toe metatarsal bone, which has NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE WITH ANY GHOST! WOW, I'm so shocked and disappointed. I'm returning this garbage and now I have to find a new brand. Brooks were my favorite--far better than Asics, New Balance or Saucony. I have to hope that those other brands have improved in the interim and I can find something else that's not the Ghost. Tragic!! I'm devastated!

I love Brooks Ghost shoes. It is all I buy. I own 6 or 7 pair at a time.

I was a little disappointed when I first put these on. This is my 3rd pair of the Ghosts and this one didn't seem the same somehow... Different materials or something... Not as immediately comfortable. But they do feel good when running. Good shock absorption.

I purchased a narrow as I have done previously…The new narrow is as wide as my current Brooks Ghost medium width… Please don't forget about people who have narrow feet.You have very few options.

I am a 70 year old female and I walk miles as an art gallery guard. These shoes fit perfectly. They distribute my weight to avoid any pressure points. I own three pair that I rotate throughout the week. I'm extremely happy with these shoes.
