Celsius RW1 Rowing Machine

This is a great little rower for its price. It has exceeded my expectations and I would be happy to recommend it. It's solid, quiet, smooth and is perfect for amateurs like me. Putting it together is not complicated but it will take about half an hour. My only disappointment was that Rebel didn't have one in-store to look at before I bought it, so I felt I was taking a chance.

For the very reasonable price, this is an excellent rower. It is wonderfully quiet. It has eight tension settings so you can increase as you get stronger. The seat is comfortable and, if not wide, still comfortable. The foot holders are braced so that your feet don't pedal up and down by default which is better for your technique and leg workout. This is one of the issues with cheaper rowers, so it's great that this one doesn't have moving foot holders. The display is basic and exactly what I want (not interested in digital landscapes or other bells and whistles). The o my problem is that it's not backlit and even with the room light on I can't read the small print on the display when sitting on the rower. I can read the big numbers (minutes and seconds spent, distance, etc) but not the indicators, ie when it changes from one metric to another I can't tell what the metric is (I mean, you can work it out by working out what order it cycles through). I have to stop, lean forward, and then I can read it. But that's a tiny price to pay. Assembly was challenging but nothing an IKEA assembler can't handle. The rower is heavy but easy to drag into position (there are wheels for longer journeys). I'm really pleased with the rower, it challenges me, feels solid and secure, is well made and brilliant value for money.

I bought this from the store about six weeks ago. Although all the parts were in the box, it looked like the box had been opened previously. In particular, a piece of cardboard with small parts and a tool attached, enclosed in a hard plastic case looked like it had been opened and taped closed. Also, the location of one of the parts was not where the instructions said it would be. Trying it out after assembly, I found the footrests made a banging noise after each stroke. I fixed this by removing the spacer for each and adding some foam around the back support. The spacer on the front support of each footrest seems unnecessary. With that, the unit became pleasant to use. It was just what I had hoped for - a reasonably-priced, simple rower for occasional light use. I reported the problems - in particular, that the item might not have been new - to the store, but all they could offer was for me to return the item for replacement. They assured me the item was new. I didn't return the item as it was working for me.

For the price this is a great little unit. I needed something to get me started but didn’t have the money splash out on a machine worth thousands. I’ve been using this machine daily for the past month and it hasn’t missed a beat.

I Brought the RW1 , for a full body cardio at home and don’t regret it at all. Brought it home was very easy to assemble and is very good value for money and it looks great . The levels are very good from an easy row to and flat out sprint. I recommend this product 100percent.

Very easy to use. Has everything you need. The seat is comfortable and the pull is sturdy.
