Just not the Same...

Despite being the same model of JBL In-ear headphones this latest pair are just not the same phones that I've purchased in the past. The sound quality is not what I expected and what I'm use to from JBL. The rich deep sound has been replaced with a thinner less rich sound that doesn't carry through external noise like my old pair.

Auto off feature make it unusable

The "auto off" feature is very problematic. It requires me to restart the headphones every few minutes. Unfortunately, I found that the apps do not support this model for changing the auto-off feature.

Let's isolate the issue by resetting the unit to factory default settings by following this step : Press and hold the volume (+) and volume (-) buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds. Great sound & fit but ONE EAR dies in a few months

I have been using wired earphones for active activities for years on various device from portable CD players to cassette players to MP3 players. I ended up going with ear buds with over the ear straps for many years with the JVC HAEB75B being my favorites for combination of sound and staying on ears/comfort. I read some reviews on the original endurance run a couple of years ago and picked up a pair on a boxing day sale. I tried them and really liked them. The sound is great, the fit is great. I also found they they a great job of blocking out external sounds - I had two bad accidents and have post concussion syndrome. So they became my go to ear buds. Because of my accidents, my activity now is much less - I use them mostly for walking - in the I used ear buds for running several times per week. This pair of endurance run ear buds lasted a few years. However, this year when I replaced them with Endurance Run 2 ear buds the first pair died within a few days. I have already lost two pairs. The first pair failed within 30 days - left ear sound was going on and off and was getting worse. The store replaced them. However, the second pair they gave me January have already failed within 5 months - this time the right ear. I was walking along with a phone in my pocket and over the timeframe of about 30 seconds the right ear bud started crackling and going on and off and then just completely died. There was no force on the cable at all. The same issue as another review I just read from Matt32xxxxx. For something called "endurance run" you would expect a little higher quality of wiring/connections to withstand a little movement!

The Best So Far

This is my third part of JBL Endurance earbuds. They are the best and most durable wired earbuds I've used in nearly twenty years of running. I, essentially, destroyed one pair though hard use and exposure to the elements. So, no shame there. As long as these are available I will buy them.

Annoying battery warning beep 2 hours b4 run out

The sound is good but the warning that the battery is low is so annoying and comes on way too early. I was on a flight for two hours and every second song the headphones beeping so frustrating. Maybe a 15 min warning but 2 hours is ridiculous

Superb Quality

I both have the Endurance Run and Endurance Run 2 and both earphones have been exceptional! The build quality, sound quality, and comfort are the main reason why I still use them and to be honest, I prefer using it than my airpods pro 2 because I can use this all day without hurting my ears.
