The easiest way to get to Cockatoo Island is by public ferry. The F3 and F8 services operate to Cockatoo Island daily, departing from Circular Quay and Barangaroo, as well as from wharves along the Parramatta River. On a Saturday, ferries depart from Circular Quay every 30 minutes from 7:00am and return every 30 minutes from 8:00am. For further information, including timelines, visit the Transport NSW website.
Cockatoo Island features 2 family-friendly cafes, Marina Café & Bar (open Saturday 9am – 5pm) and Cockatoo Overboard (open Saturday 8:30am – 7pm). Please note both kitchens such 60 minutes prior to close.
Yes, there are public bathrooms as you arrive next to the ferry port.
Yes, once you’ve enjoyed or prior to your session, we encourage you to explore the unique and scenic views Cockatoo Island has to offer. The area surrounding our event is public, we just ask that you vacate the Rebel Rookies activation area to allow the other participants to get the best out of their experience too.
