For more than 25 years, rebel has supported grassroots participation and local communities through the Community Givebacks program. At rebel, we believe in the transformative power of sport and the Community Givebacks program has been critical to our business and our customers.

Rebel is currently undertaking a program review which requires it to be placed on hold. During this time, we intend to update and revise the program, which means it will be paused on October 31, 2022. Details of how this will impact current participants in the program is detailed below. Please note, rebel has also sent communications to all individual Community Givebacks members with valid email addresses.

Credit Accrual

Credits are currently calculated quarterly provided the organisation achieves the minimum sales threshold. The next calculation is scheduled for 30 September 2022. No changes to the program are proposed between now and 30 September 2022.

However, for October 2022, each Community Givebacks organisation will receive 5% of their attributed sales in that month in the form of a credit, regardless of whether the organisation has achieved the minimum sales threshold within the previous 12-month period.

After 31 October 2022, Community Givebacks organisations will not accrue further credits until further notice.

Credit Redemption

You can still redeem all credits within 12 months from the date on which the relevant credits were / are allocated to you, in accordance with the T&Cs of the program. For example, if your credits were allocated on July 1, 2022, you have until June 31, 2023, to redeem them.

Rebel remains dedicated to supporting our local communities and grassroots participation, through initiatives such as free rebel Rookies sports clinics for kids, sponsorship of the AFL, AFLW and rebel VFLW, our partnership with Lifeline, as well as through our partnerships with State Government peak bodies for sport; Sport NSW, Vic Sport, Q Sport, Sport West and Sport SA.
